The name Budapest comes from Buda and Pest, the 2 towns on both side of Danube River. They are different and have their own identity. They are a few must see in Budapest:
* The Opera, ok from the outside, wonderful from the inside….
* Fisherman’s Bastion. Not only the church, but for the view over the Danube river.
* Vajdahunyad Castle. Very nice, and located in the middle of a nice park
* The shoes memorial, for the 300K Jews who were sent to the concentration camps during WWII
* The synagogue, the biggest one in Europe…
* A good way to travel inside Budapest is to buy a daily transportation pass for 7$ and you can take any bus, metro, tram… for 24Hr
