A few years ago, I read from a magazine that if we don’t want to pay high price and less crowd, rather going to Phuket, better going to Krabi.
I can’t compare because I know only Krabi, but, that was nice. Not too crowded at this time of the year, hot and humid, of course….
Every 100m there is a tourist booth that sell “tours”. They all offer the same tours at the same price, so no need to shop around. But, the organization for all 3 events/tours was great. Good organization!
Krabi is surrounded with amazing tropical forest, serene, and a few nice islands just minute away.
The hotel room was facing the main road, noisy at night….
Muay Thai (Thai Kick Boxing)
I was surprise to see “kids” fighting…. not sure it is healthy for them…
Small arena, small crowd, and most of them where tourists…. Would have been nice with a bigger crowd…
Ao Nang beach (Krabi Province)
Lot of restaurants, of course, and had very good dinner every night, even the “street food” dinner. Variety of cuisine, Thai, sea food, Indian, Italian… for a reasonable price…
The Hong Island tour (Daeng-Lading-Hong)
the perfect day!
Took a “long tail” boat to visit 3 islands (as shown on the big photo). To my opinion, from all the tours, this one has the most diversity

The Jungle tour (Emeral Pool, Hot Springs waterfall, Kayaking)
The color and temperature were perfect!
* The spa pool, (second photo). Just a question: Why nobody is in the pool?
Because the water temperature is 70C-160F… maybe a little bit too hot. But, I took a quick bath… just to try….

So cool, the water is warm and they are a lot of “water tubs” where we can stay and enjoy a ‘water massage”
* Kayaking
when we reached the mandrake, it was very peaceful ….
* The beginning of the kayaking trip was on open ocean facing the wing…. do I need to say more?
