No wonder why Petra is one of the 7 world wonders! Especially when you think it was built more than 2000 years ago.
What I did not know, there is much more that the main temple (now closed to visitor), Petra was a town with more than 5000 people. If you don’t get the help of a camel or mule, one day won’t be enough to see the whole site.
2 places, the “offering table” on the top of a hill after climbing 467 steps… (yes I did it) and the monastery with more than 900 steps (no I did not go) are not accessible in one day without a mule, because “Petra City” is big.
